Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
This policy explains how refunds, cancellation and downgrades work for paid plans purchased through Shortlen (the BN Shortener service at b1.lc), operated by BroadNet Technologies LLC (New Jersey, USA). Paid checkout is rolling out; these terms apply to paid plans once you purchase them, and they sit alongside our terms of use.
Our plans
Shortlen offers a Free plan at no cost, and paid Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. Paid plans are billed in US dollars, monthly or yearly, and are confirmed to you at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; your card details are entered with Stripe and never reach our servers. See the pricing page for current plans and prices.
14-day refund on your first payment
If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of your first paid payment for a plan — whether that payment is monthly or yearly — within 14 days of the date of that payment. This applies to the first time you pay for a given plan. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe.
To request a refund within this window, email support@broadnet.me from the email address on your account and tell us which plan and payment you mean. We confirm eligible refunds through Stripe.
After the 14-day window
Monthly plans. After the 14-day window, monthly payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep access to your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for; you are not charged again after that.
Yearly plans. After the 14-day window, a yearly plan can be cancelled and you keep access until the end of the paid year, but we do not provide partial-period or pro-rata refunds for the remaining months.
Cancelling, upgrading and downgrading
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from Plan & Billing in your dashboard — one click, with no phone call or form to fill in. Plan changes and card updates are made through Stripe's customer portal, and you can enter promo codes at checkout.
When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, so you do not lose time you have paid for. If you change your mind before the period ends, you can choose Resume to undo the cancellation. For yearly plans, we email you about 7 days before the plan renews so a renewal is never a surprise.
What keeps working after you cancel or downgrade
Cancelling or downgrading never holds your work hostage. Every short link, QR code, bio page and custom-domain link you have already created keeps working and stays editable, and we do not add ads to them. Only new items created beyond the limits of your lower plan are blocked after a downgrade or cancellation — your existing links and the traffic to them are unaffected.
Deleting your account cancels billing and, before anything is removed, offers you a full export of your data so you can keep a copy.
How to request a refund
Email support@broadnet.me from the email address registered on your account, state the plan and the payment you are asking about, and we will review it against this policy. Eligible refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page.
